Taverley

The city of Taverley (commonly spelled "Taverly"). One of the most useful cities in RuneScape, and perhaps one of the most overlooked places in this vast world. It lies northwest of Falador, just beyond the member's gate. And sits at the entrance to the White Wolf Mountain. Burthorpe is to the north.

Attractions

Like the map says, there are a few quest starting points in this town. There are also some good training spots around. Here are some general attractions.

Druids

Just southeast of the 2-Handed Sword Shop is a great place to train if you're looking for some Herblore items, or if you'd just like to attack some unarmed foes.

Crystal Chest

If you've managed to put together the 2 halves of the Crystal Key (the Teeth half and Loop half), here is the chest that you'll be looking for. It's marked on the map with a purple circle.

Inside the chest is always an Uncut Dragonstone, along with other random items such as Rune Bars.

Clue Scroll House

A Clue Scroll may be solved by searching the drawers in the house on the left of the below picture. Aren't the flowers pretty? Perhaps they'll make good burial decorations.

(3) Witch's House Quest

Speaking to the Boy near the entrance to Taverley will let you start the Witch's House Quest. It's a short and easy quest to introduce you to Members.

(4) Fishing Contest Quest

North of the 2 Handed Sword Shop is a Dwarf wandering around a staircase. It's a shortcut leading to the other side of White Wolf Mountain (without the vicious Wolves!), but you can't use it until speaking to the Dwarf and agreeing to help him in the Fishing Contest Quest.

(5) Druidic Ritual Quest

North of the Witch's House is the Guthix Altar, a place to pray at and restore your Prayer. Speaking to Kaqemeex will allow you to start the Druidic Ritual Quest. Before even starting Herblore, you need to start this quest.

(6) Heroes Guild

Just northwest of the Guthix Altar is the Heroes Guild. Inside you'll find a dungeon where you can kill Blue Dragons and recharge your Dragonstone Amulet at the Fountain of Heroes.

(7) Taverley Dungeon

There are all sorts of monsters to fight down here, including Skeletons, Chaos Druids, Black Knights, Lesser Demons, Blue Dragons and Black Demons, just to name a few that reside here. You'll also find the Cauldron of Thunder down here, for completing the Druidic Ritual Quest.

(8) Farming Patch

South of the Boy from the Witch's House Quest is a Farming Patch for growing regular Trees.

Lady of the Lake

Even further south of the Farming Patch is a peninsula. You'll find the Lady of the Lake here from the Merlin's Crystal Quest.

Shops

There are 2 shops here in Taverley, including an Herblore Supply Shop and a 2-Handed Sword Shop.

(1) Herblore Shop

This shop is all that a new Herblorist needs to begin! It sells Empty Vials, Pestles and Mortars and Eyes of Newt.

Apart from the store, you can speak to Sanfew who is upstairs. He needs your help with the Eadgar's Ruse Quest.

(2) 2-Handed Shop

If you want a strong weapon to use, there you have it! Remember though, these swords may be strong, but they're also slow. The shop stocks all kinds from Bronze to Adamant.
